Works well for bookings

I bought the Amelia Pro Plan. It handles my event calendar and bookings fine. Setup was quick. WhatsApp notifications are useful. No issues with payments. Good plugin.

Great value on the annual plan

I was looking for a solid booking solution and decided on the Amelia Annual Subscription. The price was really good compared to some others I checked out, especially with the discount I found. It felt like a really smart purchase for the features included, like the Google Calendar Integration. I did notice the PayPal Payment Gateway took a moment to set up, but once it was done, everything worked smoothly. For the money, it's definitely worth it.

Good plugin, easy setup

I got the Amelia Annual Subscription Basic Plan last month and set it up for my small business website. It was pretty straightforward to get going, even for someone like me who isn't super techy. I liked that it integrated with my Google Calendar right away, which was a huge help. My customers can now book appointments directly, and I've noticed a small uptick in bookings. The support documentation was okay, but I did have to search a bit for one specific setting. Overall, happy with it so far.

Solid plugin, few minor issues

I purchased the Amelia Lifetime License for the Agency Plan to use across a few client sites. The Customer Panel and Employee Panel are both really intuitive, and the Multi-location Support is a huge plus for managing different businesses. The PayPal Payment Gateway integrated smoothly, which is crucial. Delivery was instant since it's a digital product, as expected. My main critique is that while the plugin is powerful, some of the initial setup documentation could be a bit clearer for advanced features. Still, it's a robust solution and I'm happy with the purchase.

Excellent features, useful panels

I recently purchased the Amelia Lifetime License, specifically the Agency Plan, and have been implementing it across a few client sites. The Customer Panel and Employee Panel are incredibly well-designed and intuitive for both my clients' customers and their staff. I found the Zoom Integration to be seamless, which is a major plus for virtual appointments. Setting up recurring appointments was also quite easy after a little bit of exploring the settings. My only minor complaint is that the initial dashboard can feel a tiny bit cluttered with options until you get used to where everything is. Delivery of the license key was instant, and the overall quality of the plugin seems very robust. Definitely a solid investment for agencies managing multiple booking systems.

Worth the investment

I was looking for a solid booking solution and decided on the Amelia Annual Subscription, going for the Pro Plan. I managed to snag it during a sale, which was great. The price felt fair for what you get, especially since it included the Event Calendar Plugin and Zoom Integration. Setting it up took a little longer than I expected, but it wasn't too bad. Overall, I feel like I got good value for my money, and it's already helping streamline my schedule a lot.

Good booking plugin, easy to use

I got the Amelia WordPress Booking Plugin a few weeks back for my small business. It was pretty straightforward to set up, and I liked how it looked on my site. The Google Calendar Integration worked like a charm for me. I just wish the customer panel had a few more customization options.

Good features, some minor quirks

I purchased the Amelia Pro Plan for my small business, mostly for the Employee Management Add-on and WhatsApp Notifications, which have been very useful. The setup was mostly intuitive, and the documentation was helpful, though I wish the search function on their support page was a bit more robust. Delivery of the license key was instant. Overall, it's a powerful tool and offers good value, but navigating some of the more advanced settings can feel a little clunky at first.

Just renewed my Amelia Agency plan and the price jump was a bit of a shock. Anyone else notice a significant increase this year?

D Deepak91 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Hmm, mine actually stayed about the same, but I bought it during a Black Friday deal two years ago and it was a lifetime license. So maybe that's why.

R RahulK 3 weeks ago
Lifetime deal is the way to go, if you can snag it.

R RohanS 3 weeks ago
Wish I'd gotten the lifetime when it was available. Annual renewals are a pain.

P PriyaK 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I saw it too for my Pro plan renewal. They ended up giving me a small 'loyalty' discount after I opened a ticket, but it still went up more than I expected from last year's rate.

R RohanS 3 weeks ago
A loyalty discount? Good to know. I'll try that.

A Anjali88 3 weeks ago
Mine renewed automatically, guess I should check the charge.

V VarunM 3 weeks ago
I think they increased their base prices across the board. The Agency plan has so many features now though, like the native mobile apps and resource management, so maybe they're justifying it that way.

The apps are pretty useful, not gonna lie.

Finally made the jump from Bookly to wpAmelia. Setup seems a bit more involved, but the features look way better, especially for multi-location businesses. Anyone have tips for migrating data or initial setup for multiple employees?

S SanjayR 5 hours ago ✓ Best Answer
Welcome to the club! I found their documentation on importing services and employees super helpful. Just make sure your CSV files are formatted exactly right. Small errors can cause headaches.

Good call on the CSV format. Thanks!

Any specific fields to watch out for?

N NehaP 7 hours ago
I didn't migrate, started fresh, but for multiple employees, definitely set up Google Calendar integration from day one. It's a lifesaver for managing availability without constant manual updates.
7
M MeeraJ 6 hours ago
Oh, absolutely. That's high on my list.
3
S SanjayR 6 hours ago
Does it sync both ways?

V VikramS 6 hours ago
Yeah, the multi-location support is a game changer. Also, check out the custom fields option. It lets you collect specific info from clients which is awesome for tailoring services.

M MeeraJ 5 hours ago
Custom fields are a must for me, glad it's there.

Bookly's custom fields were a bit clunky, hoping Amelia's are better.

Following. Thinking of making this switch myself. Bookly's support has been a bit slow lately.

Good to know. That's a big factor.

Hey guys, thinking of grabbing the lifetime license. Does wpAmelia do sales on those often or should I jump on it now?

J James Thompson 4 weeks ago
They definitely have sales, especially for lifetime licenses. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are usually big for them, I got mine then.
0
J Jeff Williams 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I think they do anniversary sales too. Maybe wait a bit if you're not in a rush, you could snag a better deal.

Does wpAmelia have a mobile app for customers? Would be super handy for my clients to book on the go.

T Tim Thomas 1 month ago
Yep, they do! There's a native mobile app for customers, I think it's part of the higher plans though, not sure about basic.

M Mary Wilson 1 month ago
Can confirm, they have one. Makes it easier for people to book without going to the website. It's a pretty smooth experience.

How does Amelia compare to Bookly for a small salon? Bookly seems popular but Amelia's features look pretty good too.

M Michelle Flores 1 month ago
I switched from Bookly to Amelia a year ago. Amelia was much easier to set up and customize without needing a ton of add-ons right away. Plus, the UI is way cleaner for both customers and staff.

Bookly can be a bit clunky sometimes. Amelia definitely has a smoother feel, especially for managing employees and services.

Hey, thinking of grabbing Amelia. Are the lifetime deals actually worth it or do they pull the plug on updates after a while?

E Ella 1 month ago
I got the lifetime deal last Black Friday and it's been solid. Still getting updates regularly, no issues there.
2
B Brandon Flores 1 month ago
yeah lifetime licenses usually mean updates forever. i think they clarify that on their site somewhere too.

Anyone know if the holiday discounts for Amelia apply to renewals? My annual sub is coming up soon and hoping to save a bit.

M Matt Smith 1 month ago
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I've seen renewal discounts specifically announced before, but general holiday sales usually only apply to new purchases or upgrading. Worth checking their emails or support for clarification.
4
E Ella Phillips 1 month ago
afaik, general coupons are for first-time buys or new licenses. renewals usually have their own thing if they offer it.

If I get an annual plan, does the discount apply every year or just the first time?

H Hannah Campbell 4 weeks ago
Usually, the discounts are just for the first year on annual plans. Renewals are typically at the full price, or maybe a small renewal discount if you're lucky.
5
G Grace M. 4 weeks ago
Mine was just for the first year. Had to pay full price after that, unfortunately. Keep an eye out for special renewal codes maybe, but don't count on it.

So I'm comparing wpAmelia to Bookly. Anyone used both and have thoughts on which is better for a relatively complex service business? Need lots of custom fields.

S Sean White 4 weeks ago
I switched from Bookly to Amelia a while back. Amelia's custom fields are way more flexible in my experience, and the UI is much cleaner for clients booking.
1
N Nick 4 weeks ago
Amelia felt more intuitive to set up for complex services. Bookly always felt a bit clunky to me. Both integrate with calendars though, so that's a wash.

Quick question about the different plans. Is the Basic plan enough for just one service business with like 3 employees? Or should I go Pro?

W William Martinez 1 month ago
Basic is pretty good for smaller operations, covers most stuff. Pro adds more employees and locations which might be overkill if you're just a single shop.
4
M Mary W. 1 month ago
I started with Basic for my small salon, it worked fine. Only upgraded to Pro when I added another location. Check the employee limits.
